LCD means liquid crystal display. An LCD monitor is a video display device used in many devices. It has lately been applied in the television and computer industry. This has made screen manufacturing technology evolve from the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) which was a bigger, fatter size to the smaller, flatter LCD. It can display many and it is very efficient using small amounts of power and runs cooler than a regulat old-style monitor The commonly used thin film translator (TFT) screens are made using LCD technology.
